Impossible to predict results of SSPX-Vatican talks, says Bishop Fellay

Bishop Bernard Fellay, the head of the traditionalist Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), says that it is "impossible to say" what will be the outcome of current talks with the Vatican.

In an interview with the Remnant newspaper, Bishop Fellay declined to speculate about the doctrinal discussions.

He emphasized instead the "Rosary crusade" that has seen traditionalist Catholics offer nearly 20 million rosaries for the intentions of Pope Benedict.

Asked whether the current barrage of public attacks on the Pope could be a fulfillment of the warnings of Fatima, Bishop Fellay responded:

It’s too difficult to say. But if there is one quote from Fatima that I would quote that applies—it is this: “The Pope will suffer a lot. The Pope will suffer a lot.” And you have it there.
