Parish In Bray (31)

"We have just been informed that finally a new date has been assigned to this Unfair Dismissal Appeal between Fr. Larry White Parish Priest of Our Lady Queen of Peace and the former Parish Secretary.

The case will begin on Tuesday May 11, 2010 in Wicklow Circuit Court.

It is expected to be a 3 day hearing as appeals were lodged on both sides.

Let us hope that this time justice will be done as it has been a long four and a half years and endless legal fees and expense for the Parish Secretary while Fr. White has his funded by Church sources!!

Support is still rolling in for Margaret.

Thanks to all those who have added their voices in the last year to the growing numbers.

It is a long time since this all began but people have not forgotten the injustice of her being dismissed from the Parish Council and Liturgy Group in Queen of Peace Parish Bray and being refused permission by Fr. Larry White Parish Priest to become a Special Eucharistic Minister and take the Blessed Sacrament to the Sick in her home Parish.

All of this still smacks of bully tactics on behalf of the Clergy.

Nothing has been learned from all the abuse reports - these little men still throw their power around. In this case it was bullying.

In the next month there should be some further news forthcoming on an aspect of this case and we will keep you updated.
