Clerical Diocesan Appointments 2009 - Diocese of Killaloe

Bishop Willie Walsh has announced the following changes in the Diocese.

Fr. Pat Sexton has retired as Parish Priest of Scariff and has generously agreed to continue as Priest in Residence in Scariff.

Fr. Donagh O’Meara has requested permission to work for one year in South Africa and Fr. John Molloy has requested permission to work on Mission in South America.

Fr. Gerry Kenny is appointed Parish Priest of Kilkee.

Fr. Oliver Ryan continues working in O’Callaghan’s Mills Parish, pending an appointment of a Parish Priest.

Fr. Martin O’Brien is appointed Parish Priest of Tulla.

Fr. Fergal O’Neill is appointed C.C. Cathedral, Ennis.

Fr. Pat Deely is on sabbatical leave of absence to pursue his studies at Milltown Institute, Dublin.

Fr. Michael Casey is appointed as Spiritual Director to the Apostolic Work Society in the Diocese of Killaloe in succession to Fr. John Bane.

Fr. Ger Nash, is appointed as part-time Diocesan Secretary.

Changes will take place on Friday, July 31st, 2009.
