Priest accused in sex case faces more charges

A St. Louis priest already facing federal allegations that he offered to pay a 16-year-old girl for sex is now facing additional charges.

Federal prosecutors on Thursday said 58-year-old James Grady is charged additionally with sex trafficking and enticement of children, along with possession of child pornography.

Grady was the subject of an undercover FBI sting in July.

He is accused of exchanging e-mails with an undercover investigator.

Authorities say Grady agreed to pay $80 for sex with the girl.

After the initial charge, Archbishop Robert Carlson apologized to about 350 parishioners at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church.

A spokeswoman says the archdiocese does not comment on pending litigation.
