Holy See Ratifies Agreement With Austria

Austria and the Holy See ratified an agreement to regulate patrimonial relations between both states.

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Vatican secretary of State, and Martin Bolldorf, Austria's ambassador to the Holy See, exchanged the documents of ratification today, the Vatican press office reported.

The gesture ratified the sixth additional agreement, which was signed last March in Vienna, of the Convention Regulating Patrimonial Relations Between the Vatican and Austria.

The agreement is an additional clause to the convention signed in 1960.

Attending the ceremony, among others, were Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, secretary for relations with states; Monsignor Fortunatus Nwachukwu, head of Protocol; and Moritz Ehrmann, attaché of the Austrian Embassy to the Holy See.
