It was with great sadness that the world learned of the death of Stephen Gately whilst on his holidays.A young man of 33 who came from Dublin city centre and had become a part of Boyzone, later diversifying into musicals, drama, and recently was writing a childrens book of stories.
He had civilly married his husband Andy in 2006 in London and everything seemed to be going well for him - enough for him to declare as recent as last week that it cant get any better in life.
We here in CW wish to offer our prayers, support and thoughts to his parents and siblings, to his husband and to the members of Boyzone - all as equally devestated at the quenching of a very bright and talented light that is the Irish music scene.
As a mark of respect, we shall post some of his music on this site and ask you all to think of him and his loved ones and just say a quiet prayer.
