A man disguised as a priest has spread fear and terror in the French city of Marseille.
As the French newspaper "Le Figaro" reported on Tuesday, a 65-year-old man entered an Orthodox church last weekend and demanded that the real priest "leave the place" so that he could "take his place".
The man was initially restrained, but then became more violent and threatened the caretaker to "return armed with knives " on Sunday during the service to "repossess" the church.
The police were able to arrest the accused and take him to the police station.
There it emerged that the man was known for his mental disorders.
At the newspaper's request, the public prosecutor's office in Marseille announced that the man was receiving psychiatric treatment at the request of a representative of the state.
