The pope's charity organisation, Peter's Pence, has got a new website at www.obolodisanpietro.va, the Vatican said Tuesday.
Peter's Pence is the name given to the financial support offered by the
faithful as a sign of their sharing in the concern of St Peter's
successor for the Catholic Church's needs and the relief of the needy.
The new website will enable the faithful to broaden their offerings,
the Vatican Secretariat of State said. "The age-old solidarity
initiative has landed on the Internet, via a dedicated and completely
new site, already available in Italian, English and Spanish," it said.
"The portal will be updated with the images and words of Pope Francis
and will soon be translated into other languages." It will be possible
to make donations online.
