Unknown individuals set fire to the Church of Cyril and Methodius of the
Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Pavlograd,
Dnipro Region of Ukraine, on Monday.
The incident occurred at 2:00 a.m.
The people threw three 'Molotov
cocktails' inside the building, the press service for the Ukrainian
Orthodox Church said.
The choir gallery with divine service books burned down fully and
considerable damage was done to the central part of the church, the
decorations, icons, windows and the heating system.
However, the altar, which was hit by one of the 'Molotov cocktails', was
not damaged because the propellant had spilled out of the bottle, the
report said.
