The couple, who have not been identified, have reportedly sought for several months to arrange the adoption of their foster children.

But their path was blocked when it was revealed that the objected to placing the children with a homosexual couple.

Officials said that they recognized the “lovely care and warmth” that the couple had provided to the foster children, but feared the long-term consequences of having children raised by a couple with such “concerning” views on homosexuality.

The couple told the London Times that they had “not expressed homophobic views, unless Christian beliefs are, by definition, homophobic.”
