One traveller was left pleasantly surprised after spotting Sunday Mass being broadcast live on a television screen in the airport’s departure lounge as passengers waited to board their flights.

The unusual sight quickly caught attention online, with many saying it was the most Irish thing they’d ever seen.

Instead of rolling news or sports highlights, the screen showed the religious service, allowing those travelling to follow the Mass without leaving the terminal.

For Catholic passengers, it offered an opportunity to keep up a long-standing Sunday tradition before jetting off on holiday or heading overseas on business.
