Bishop Paul Connell, Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnois, has announced the following diocesan appointments, which will take effect from the weekend of 6 September 2026.
Father John Quinn, PP Gortletteragh to retire.
Father Ciaran McGovern, PP Clonguish to retire.
Father Bernard Hogan, PP Drumlish to retire.
Father Seamus McKeon, PP Colmcille to retire.
Father Sean Casey, PP Killoe to retire.
Father James McKiernan, Adm Cathedral Parish of Templemichael to be also the Administrator of the parish of Clonguish.
Father Tom Murray, PP Ballinalee to be also the Administrator of the parish of Killoe.
Father Nigel Charles, PP Mohill to be also the Administrator of the parish of Gortletteragh.
Father Seamus O’ Rourke CC Carrick-on-Shannon to be Administrator of the parish of Colmcille.
Father Eamon McNerney, on loan from the archdiocese of Edmonton in Canada, to be Administrator of the parish of Drumlish.
