On June 16th, 2024, we here in CW published a story in relation to Fr Fergal Cummins, based in the Diocese of Meath, on foot of a story published in an Irish newspaper.
We asked, in our own posting, some questions of our own....to which no reply was forthcoming (and that remains the case) from the Diocese of Meath, and its bishop, Tom Deenihan.
So, why was Fr Cummins removed from his chaplaincy position at the Sacred Heart Catholic Secondary School, Tullamore, Co Offaly, and replaced by Fr Joseph Campbell?
Was it down to something he said in a classroom?
Both those questions can now be answered by us due to our own discreet investigating, and some follow-up emails and correspondence from some very concerned people in the know of the matter.
Fr Fergal Cummins was removed from his postion due to his claim that IVF babies are not real babies.
Let it be noted that would be the main reason for his removal, but we also understand that other comments and postings on his social media accounts was also a contributing factor.
We continue to look forward to hearing from you.
