Three lay financial experts have been added to the board of the Vatican bank, the Institute for Religious Works (IOR).
The three new members are: Scott Malpass, an American and former
chief investment officer for the University of Notre Dame; Javier Marin
Romano, a Spanish executive of Banco Santander; and Georg Freiherr von
Boeselager, a German banker with Merck Finck & Privatbankiers.
The three new members of the board will join with the four other incumbents at meetings scheduled for January.
