The Scottish Catholic Parliamentary Office has moved to the capital to be closer to the Scottish Parliament.
Since
the inception of the Scottish Parliament in 1999 the parliamentary
office had been based in Glasgow.
Director, Anthony Horan, believes the
relocation of the office to Cowgate in the Old Town will enhance his
work with parliamentarians and stakeholders.
He said: "I'm absolutely
delighted to confirm the completion of the Catholic Parliamentary
Office's move to the church house of St Patrick's, Edinburgh.
"Mgr
Philip Kerr, parish priest of St Patrick's, has made me feel most
welcome and I am privileged to have an office so close to the church and
the celebration of the Mass. It is critical to the proper functioning
of the Catholic Parliamentary Office that I, as Director, am accessible
to our elected representatives and their teams, and that they are
accessible to me. That is why the location of our new office, a ten
minute walk from Holyrood, will be such an advantage."
The Scottish Catholic Parliamentary Office is now located at: 5 South Gray's Close, 40 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1TQ.
