The cast of Mrs Brown's Boys have made a "very substantial" donation to
Saint Vincent de Paul that will provide over 2,800 families with a
Christmas dinner.
In an article published on the Saint Vincent de Paul website, the
charity thanked Brendan O'Carroll, his wife Jenny and their families for
their donation.
"The continued generosity of Brendan O’Carroll, his wife Jenny and
the Brown/O’Carroll families will ensure that over 2,800 families in
Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow will have their turkey and ham on Christmas
Day this year," reads the article.
"In 2016, Brendan and Jenny again made a very substantial donation to the Society of St Vincent de Paul on behalf of everyone involved in Mrs Brown’s Boys. As a result, vouchers for a Christmas dinner are once more being distributed in the SVP East Region to families supported by the Society."

President of the SVP East Region Liam Casey said the charity has seen
an increase in requests for food this year, and the donation will make
"a huge difference."
“We have seen an increase in requests for food this year and these vouchers will make a huge difference to many families. The vouchers, signed Brendan, Jenny and all the Brown and O’Carroll families also make the vouchers themselves special," he said.

"The Irish public have been extremely generous to the SVP in the past
through their financial donations and we are dependent on them to
continue their support into the future."
