The book's Rome launch will be officiated by Míchéal Mac Craith OFM, the head of the Irish Franciscan college off Via Veneto.
McAleese, the former president of Ireland, is currently studying Canon Law at Rome's Gregorian University.
At the book's launch in Dublin in October, McAleese condemned the "dangerous silence" behind the child sex abuse scandals in the Catholic Church. McAleese said the book, which took four years to write, highlights the "fear at the centre of the church".
