GLUTTONY may be one of the seven deadly sins but a group of nuns in
Galway are turning a blind eye to the failing as their chocolate-making
business takes off.
The high demand for chocolate made by the
Benedictine nuns at Kylemore Abbey has seen them double the number of
their staff from two to four.
The nuns first started producing the
tasty treats back in 2010 after they closed their world-famous boarding
school and were left with a fully-fitted kitchen lying idle.
"The
chocolates are very popular with tourists but they also have a big
following among the local community that buy them regularly," said Sr
Genevieve.
