Friday 16th. March Surely, my dear reader, you are not surprised that you find that you have broken your Lenten pledge, or rather that the devil has gained a victory over you.
It is a lesson worth noting that perfection (i.e. sanctity) is only to be gained after repeated failures, from which you will rise again.
Make your penance to God, be humbled by it and knowing your weakness better now, move on and know a stumble is a lesson learned.
