The former bishop’s house in Newry which went back on the market this week to fund compensation to the victims of clerical abuse has already been sold, it has been confirmed.
The premises – surrounded by 27.2 acres of land – has lain empty since 2018 following the resignation of Dr John McAreavey as Catholic Bishop of Dromore.
