Two priests remanded in custody over drug trafficking case

Two priests belonging to the Old Calendarist Church were remanded in custody after lengthy interrogations in connection with a drug trafficking network.

The priests faced extensive questioning from an examining magistrate and a prosecutor over charges related to organized crime and aggravated drug distribution.

Alongside the clergymen, two additional suspects allegedly linked to the network were also sent to prison.

Authorities are expected to hear the testimony of a 52-year-old woman, identified as the alleged leader of the organization, and two of her associates on Wednesday.
