Statue of Jesus is stolen from Waterford home in spate of religious statue thefts

A much loved statue of Jesus has been stolen in Waterford city in the run up to Christmas, leaving local residents to wonder who took it, and why.

The religious statue was taken from its place outside a house on the German Road in St John’s Park in the city, and has been missing since Monday, December 15.
