Members of the public are being invited to
register to recount their experiences to a Stormont inquiry, which is
investigating allegations of child abuse in both state and church-run
institutions.
All applications to the Acknowledgement Forum from victims and survivors of abuse will be treated in confidence.
The inquiry, which is being chaired by former NI High Court judge Sir Anthony Hart, was announced in December 2010 but will not get its full powers until the Stormont Assembly passes the necessary legislation.
Its remit is to "examine if there were systemic failings by institutions or the State in their duties towards those children in their care between the years of 1945 and 1995".
It was established following intense lobbying by survivors and victims of child abuse.
