Bishop Martin Drennan of Galway has announced a number of diocesan changes which will come into effect from Friday July 20th.
Among the changes is the decision of the long standing Director of Accord in Galway, Father Michael McLoughlin, to retire from the post after 25 years at the helm.
Father Murchadh O'Madaghain, CC Renmore is to now take on additional responsibilities as the new Director of Accord.
Another well known city based priest, Father Diarmuid Hogan who is Chaplain at NUIG, is also taking on additional responsibilities as vocations director for the diocese.
Father Frankie Lee returns from studies to become the new CC in Gort while Father Peter Joyce, CC Gort is to become CC at Maree.
Father Adrian McGrath, who has been CC Maree is moving to further studies and Father Iomor Daniels from the Clonfert Diocese is to join the chaplaincy team at NUIG.
