Law-enforcement officials in Florida have found a precious manuscript
that was stolen in Italy 25 years ago, and will restore it to the
Archdiocese of Turin. The manuscript, a richly illustrated page from a 15th-century prayer book describing the martyrdom of St. Lawrence, was stolen in 1990.
After passing through several owners, it was purchased by a couple in Florida, who voluntarily turned it over to police.
The Florida couple will not be charged.
