The Holy Monastery of Sinai, which through the centuries has stood forth as a unique centre of Orthodox witness and ascetical tradition, constitutes an inseparable part of the spiritual heritage of our Church and a point of reference for the entire world.
The Patriarchate congratulates the new Hegumen and expresses its firm confidence that he will continue faithfully the sacred legacy of the Monastery, strengthening the unity of the Brotherhood and manifesting the historic witness of Sinai in the contemporary world.
