An icon of local radio in Clare is being remembered as someone who was adept at handling both light and dark subjects on the airwaves.
Tributes are being paid to former Clare FM broadcaster and Franciscan Friar Father Cletus Noone who has passed away at Carrigoran Nursing Home at the age of 91.
The native of Woodquay in Galway was ordained as a priest in Rome in 1959 and spent over three decades hosting the popular weekly ‘Noone at Night’ programme on Clare FM.
Father Cletus will repose at Daly’s Funeral Home in Ennis on Friday, before being laid to rest after a funeral mass in the Ennis Franciscan Friary on Saturday.
