My dear friends, today Wednesday January 7th 2009 is a watershed in the history of the Irish RC Church - but for all the wrong reasons.As was once said to me, across the nation, hands shall be shaking with trepidation at the publishing of what will be a very damning and insightful report on the failure of Irish RC bishops and dioceses to correctly handle the whole sordid issue of Child Sex Abuse (CSA).
We here in CW are going to keep the reports posted as they arrive here and we aim to ensure that you are kept up to date as much as is possible and at least we can all keep our eyes on the ball which would be in stark contrast to the higher echelons.
As the reports come out, we encourage YOUR responses because this is YOUR church, YOUR children at risk, YOUR money which will be used to settle (as has been happening thus far) the claims.

Let us pray for those who have been the victims of not just the abuse perpetrated upon them, but the further abuse heaped upon them by the inactions of those charged with ensuring the future welfare of potential victims.
