Benedict XVI to Visit Loreto and Austria

This September, Benedict XVI has two apostolic trips on his agenda, one to meet with Italian youth and another to Austria.

The Vatican press office published today the Pope's schedule of liturgical celebrations for the next two months.

After his vacation ends on July 27, the Holy Father will go to the summer residence at Castel Gandolfo.

On Aug. 15, the solemnity of the assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, he will celebrate 8 a.m. Mass in the parish church of St. Thomas at Castel Gandolfo.

For the first two days of September, the Pontiff will be in Loreto, Italy, for a meeting with Italian youth.

He travels to Austria a week later, from Friday, Sept. 7, to Sunday, Sept. 9.

Then on Sunday, Sept. 23, he will make a pastoral visit to Velleteri, Italy, with Mass in the cathedral there at 9.30 a.m.
