The High Court has ruled that a suspected sex offender will be extradited back to Wales within weeks.61-year-old Roger Gardener, formerly of Blackwood near Newport, is accused of rape and indecent assault between October 1987 and October 1989.
He will also strand trial for perverting the course of justice and arson in relation to a fire at his family home in August 2000.
A European arrest warrant was issued for him last August and he was arrested in Milltown Malbay, Co Clare, in October.
