Another case in October in court
The Higher Regional Court of Cologne is negotiating another pain allowance lawsuit in an abuse case on 15. October. The clergyman has since been sentenced to twelve years in prison.
F. also requires 830,000 euros in pain money from the Archdiocese of Cologne.
The District Court of Cologne dismissed their action in July 2025 because an official liability of the Archdiocese was out of the question. The priest did not commit the deeds in office, but as a private man, according to the court.
In other cases, too, those affected by sexualized violence have filed pain money lawsuits against dioceses.
