Ndagoso made the call yesterday in reaction to the kidnapping of Rev. Fr. Bobbo Pascal, who was abducted in the early hours of November 17 from his residence in Kushe Gugdu, Kagarko local government area of Kaduna State.
He described the incident as deeply troubling and reflective of the deteriorating security situation, particularly in rural communities that have become frequent targets of criminal attacks.
The Archbishop expressed concern over the safety of the abducted priest and others in captivity, urging security agencies to intensify rescue efforts and ensure their safe return.
Ndagoso further called on the authorities to dismantle kidnapping syndicates and ensure that perpetrators are apprehended and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others.
He also appealed to governments at all levels to address the causes of insecurity by investing in job creation, education and social development initiatives.
The Archbishop urged Christians and residents of the affected communities to remain calm, prayerful and supportive of security agencies by providing useful information when necessary.
