The Vatican has announced the publication of a new document by Pope Leo XIV.
The letter on the subject of education is to be presented today (Tuesday).
As reported by "Vatican News", Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education, announced that the document is intended to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Council's declaration "Gravissimum educationis" and emphasise its lasting importance.
The Council Declaration is dedicated to Christian education.
With the text, the Pope wants to relate the reflections of the Second Vatican Council on the educational mission of the Church to current challenges.
The publication is part of the "Jubilee of the World of Education", which will be celebrated in the Vatican from 27 October to 2 November.
Pilgrims from 124 countries are expected to attend the events, including over 200 pilgrims with disabilities.
