What's another year is a song well known to so many Eurovision fans, and its never been so more appropriate than today, considering it is the 1st anniversary of the death of Pat Buckley, and it is also Eurovision Final night in Basel, Switzerland.
And what a difference a year makes in the lives of so, so many people who were slandered, defamed and effectively destroyed by Buckley, just because he could - and indeed a lack of courage and balls on the part of a few bishops in Ireland.
What joyous news it was for us to share of his passing on Friday 17th May 2024 - and remains as such one year on.
His 'infamous' blogspot was taken down post by post the following day, as observed by ourselves, and eventually was totally gone by that evening - not unlike himself.
However, the damage had already been done by that stage, and indeed those who were used as numbers fodder by Buckley on his blogspot, still continue to deal with the damage done, and we made mention of such in a longer contribution.
His months mind did not go unremarked by us, and at that time we had received a few thousand emails in relation to him - and that number has quadrupled in the intervening weeks and months.
Indeed, on average, per week, over 9,000 people have visited the posts relative to his death - all just making sure he is gone.
Some of those who made contact with us were victims of Buckley, and we met with them to listen and offer them whatever support we could - and we are glad to say that they have taken us up on such, and are now dealing with the state authorities in relation to serious allegations relative to Buckley.
Our visits continue in relation to these allegations, and will remain as such active.
However, Eduardo Yanga (alleged husband/spouse of Buckley) came out via the Sunday World in an attempt to discredit us and others of what we were saying - referring to us as trolls - and not unlike his deceased sugar Daddy, failed to produce a single scintilla of evidence to counter the reams of evidence currently held by our solicitors - North and South.
So, one year on, we are still happy to confirm that life has changed for so many due to the death of Buckley - and for the better!!
We remain available to anyone in any way we can, who may need assistance or support - email us.
