Castlecomer native Fr Dan Carroll, now based in St John’s Parish, in recognition of his service to the Diocese of Ossory as Vicar General, has had the title of Chaplain to His Holiness conferred on him.
This brings with it the title of Monsignor.
A diocesan spokesperson has told KCLR News ‘this is a great honour for him and a wonderful recognition of his ministry”.
