The Italian journal L'Espresso notes that tough new policies
regarding financial transactions at the Vatican, put in place to ensure
compliance with laws against money-laundering, are now being applied to
charitable foundations established by the Holy See.
These foundations,
which maintain accounts at the Vatican bank, are expected to provide the
Financial Information Authority with thorough documentation for all
money transfers.
