Anne Marie Horan had planned to protest outside the Church of Mary Immaculate Queen in Barna last month.
Ms Horan had worked as parish co-ordinator for the Parish of Barna for almost six years before being let go in July.
The manner of her dismissal and a refusal of the parish to re-instate her led her to organise a one-person protest outside the church.
However, Ms Horan was threatened with a legal injunction by the Galway diocese if she went ahead with the protest.
The Labour Court stepped in to help resolve the matter and the protest was cancelled.
