Pope Benedict XVI celebrated a Mass on December 2 for Manuela
Camagni, the member of the papal household who was killed in a traffic
accident last week.
In his homily, the Holy Father offered some reflections on the name of
the movement to which Manuela Camagni had belonged: Memores Domini.
"The
memory of the Creator is inscribed in the depths of our being,” he
said, continuing:
Today we see this desperate search for joy that increasingly moves away from its true source, the true joy. Forgetfulness of God, forgetfulness of our true memory: Manuela was not of those who have lost their memory, she lived in the living memory of the Creator.
