After three years of preparation, The New Evangelisation Trust (TNET)
was formally launched in the Radisson Hotel, Dublin last week.
In response to calls from Pope John Paul II and repeated by Pope
Benedict XVI, The New Evangelisation Trust is a registered charity that
focuses on raising funds and disbursing them as grants to promote the
New Evangelisation in Ireland.
It operates a ''zero overheads'' policy, paid for by the members,
whereby every cent raised is passed on to the home missionaries who
spread the Catholic faith in Ireland.
Its fundraising efforts
concentrate on donations from people who would like to help the Church
in Ireland but do not necessarily know to start.
TNET is also specially geared towards assisting people who wish to
serve the Church through their wills.
All grants are subject to a
methodical application process.
TNET has been welcomed and endorsed by Cardinal Seán Brady.
