CW - 4 Years On.....

On 16th December 2006, Clerical Whispers came into existence with no trumpeting fanfare and just one person who wrote, edited and posted the first 2 years of this blogspot.

Not an easy task by means considering it is now a 6 person operation and it is published on a daily basis with very little exception to that rule.

Since that very first posting,

* 29,000 posts have been published;

* over 12 million hits on site;

* most viewed in order by country - USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, Phillipines, Germany, India, Italy and France;

* most popular posting - The Evolution of the Popemobile;

* Google is the most commonly used search engine (73% of users/viewers)

* the Clerical Whispers Aid Appeal is ongoing with over €15,000 worth of church books, equipment and clothing sent to areas in greater need of such items;

* CW Investigates was founded and has proved to be somewhat controversial and it is perceived to establish it as an entity of its own in 2011, and shall be investigating issues such as Irish diocesan finances, the Murphy Commission into the Diocese of Cloyne, the 'Reformed Catholic Church' on an international and local level, new episcopal appointments, more investigating the recent issue of the landlord monsignor to name but a few.

These investigations are at various stages but we welcome any info you may have in relation to these issues or if you have something which you need us to consider looking into, get in touch with myself on seanserkeohane@gmail.com and I will be in touch.

Otherwise, get in touch here via clericalwhispers@gmail.com and likewise we will be in touch.

With Christmas upon us, we now invite you to forward to us your request for some music you would like us to post here over the Christmas period and we will search it out and post for you...get in touch on the email clericalwhispers@gmail.com

On behalf of the Clerical Whispers family, a happy, peaceful and blessed Christmas and prosperous New Year to you all and thanks for making us what we are and bringing us this far.....Ad Multos Annos
