The Chicago Archdiocese has temporarily withdrawn a priest from ministry after receiving an allegation of inappropriate physical contact.
The allegation involved an adult.
Reverend Samson Mukundi was serving as pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish on Chicago's Southwest Side.
In a letter to the parish, Cardinal Blase Cupich says he directed Mukundi to undergo a period of evaluation.
The cardinal sent the same letter to Saint Benedict the African Parish and Jesus, Bread of Life Parish, where Mukundi previously served.
No further information was available, and the allegation is under investigation.
