On April 1, former Nampa priest Robert Esquivel, known as Father Toto, will learn his sentence for one count of committing a lewd act with a child.
Esquivel accepted a plea deal in late January to drop a second count of the same charge and a charge of raping a child.
Nampa Police said the victim was not affiliated with the church or its school.
Esquivel was arrested in August 2025 and has been held at the Canyon County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
Esquivel was a priest at Nampa's St. Paul's Catholic Church at the time of his arrest.
Soon after his arrest, a leader at the Diocese of Boise said they 'removed his priestly faculties, meaning he is prohibited from any priestly ministry.'
