Kilmore Diocese has moved to allay fears that the church, situated on the Marble Arch Road, Enniskillen, is to close, after a video was posted on social media.
However, the number of Masses are being reduced across the Diocese.
Fr. Darragh Connolly, Kilmore Diocesan Communications Officer, said: "I can confirm for you that there is no plan to close St. Lasir’s Church, Wheathill.
"In the current planning in the diocese of Kilmore no churches will be closed.
"Our initiative in Kilmore is to provide for increasing the number of people preparing for and participating in our Masses by reducing the actual number of Masses."
