Pope Francis traveled to the north of Rome on Monday afternoon,
January 6, to see a live Nativity scene enacted at the parish of St.
Alphonsus Liguori.
The Pope greeted each of the parishioners who took part in the live
Nativity, most of them dressed as shepherds.
An infant who had been
baptized earlier in the day played the part of the newborn Jesus.
After viewing the scene, the Pope encouraged the participants to pray
for the children who will be born this year, and also for their
grandparents.
