Federico Lombardi, spokesman for the Holy See, is to be honoured for
his service to communications during a conference in Spain next month.Taking place between February 3 and 5 in Madrid, the conference will draw diocesan communication leaders who will see Fr Lombardi receive the Bravo award following a presentation to the gathering.
The Jesuit has been director of the Holy See’s press office since 2006.
Reflecting the modern landscape in terms of communication, the conference will also hear from Ireland’s Msgr Paul Tighe, secretary of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, on the Church’s presence on the internet and social networks.
