The site of the Campaign of Prayer for Evangelization of the world is
online, prepared by the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples
and the Pontifical Mission Societies, in particular by the Pontifical
Missionary Union. The Holy Father Benedict XVI received in audience on 11 May the National Directors of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS), in Rome for the annual meeting of the Superior Council, had stressed: "Mission today needs to renew its faith in God’s action; needs a more intense prayer so that his kingdom comes, so that his will is done, as in heaven, so on earth ... I am therefore glad to encourage the project of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and the Pontifical Missionary Societies, in support of the Year of Faith. This project provides a worldwide campaign that, through the prayer of the Holy Rosary, accompanies the work of evangelization in the world and many of the baptized to rediscover and deepen faith."
The site is still being completed, it is in four languages (Italian, English, French and Spanish) and is divided into several sections: Prayer for Evangelization, Prayer of the Heart, Marian Prayer, Prayer Intentions, Contributions from the world ... an interview with Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples is also reported, who on the occasion of his recent pastoral visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, had illustrated the initiative: "In the Year of Faith there will be many programs of theological study all over the world, from Rome to every diocese. The Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples held that all these activities of the Year of Faith should be supported by an silent fundamental initiative, which is nothing but the Rosary for the Evangelization during the Year of Faith. This initiative committs every person to supporting every day the evangelization of peoples who do not know the faith, those who reject it and/or those who have lost it."
