Tearfund will be leading prayers for impoverished communities around the world at Wembley Stadium this September.
It is joining the National Day of Prayer taking place at the iconic stadium in north London on 29 September.
They will lead prayers for the one billion people going hungry around the world. The Christian development agency warns that one in seven people are going to bed hungry each night even though there is enough food in the world to feed everyone.
They include the community of Cajamarca, Peru, where farmers are struggling to grow enough crops due to the changing climate and a lack of education.
The people of Cajamarca pray together for the rains to come so that they will not go hungry.
Tearfund partners and the local church are working to be part of the answer to their prayers by helping them to adapt their farming techniques.
They will be asking thousands of Christians on the day to pray for changed lives around the world.
"We'll join together in prayer for some of the world's poorest communities - families, widows and orphans - for whom hunger is a daily reality," said Tearfund's Director of Integral Mission, David Westlake.
"As Christians we have a responsibility to challenge the injustices of hunger and poverty, and prayer is an incredibly powerful way to do that."
Dr Jonathan Oloyede, convener of National Day of Prayer said: "I have admired Tearfund for many years because it's a movement that encourages the local church to engage in the transformation of communities all over the world. Tearfund do not just give handouts; they are committed to the whole journey and work with the potential people already have, and that is what we are all about."
