The video shows how the local faithful, despite the severe persecution faced in the country during the imperial era, were able to grow and spread the Gospel message.
The video has particularly stressed the fact that Korea is the only country in Asia where Christianity has grown without the help of foreign missionaries: they were expelled by the various emperors of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and were able to educate only some Koreans who then passed on the faith to their children and new catechumens.

As stated in the message accompanying the video, "we want to show the continuous effort of our bishops for the unity of Korean Catholics."
The prelates, the message concludes, "meet to discuss matters of common interest, to undertake new pastoral missions and suggest best practices for the application of the Social Doctrine of the Church."
