Produced by Jesuit Refugee Services (JRS) Ireland, it highlights the feast days of many faiths, as well as international days and bank holidays throughout 2010.
The calendar raises awareness of diversity in Ireland by giving a brief description of the faiths referred to each month.
It also has a theme that focuses on key facts relating to immigration and asylum in Ireland and in this way highlights the many challenges and opportunities faced by migrants in Ireland.
It is illustrated with photographs of asylum seekers in Ireland.
Money raised from selling calendars (€5 each plus P&P) will go to JRS Ireland projects with asylum seekers such as homework clubs for children, and advocacy and support for those in detention centres and direct provision accommodation.
JRS continues its work even though the numbers of new asylum seekers in Ireland has declined to around 2,000 per year compared to more than 10,000 at the peak year 2002.
JRS Ireland was founded more than 20 years ago as part of JRS International.
