Archbishop Dermot Clifford (Cashel & Emly) is still not out of the legal woods in relation to errant priest Oliver O'Grady who attended Saint Patricks Seminary, Thurles which is directly opposite the Archbishop's residence in aformentioned town of Thurles, Co Tipperary.
Now it has emerged, as also noted in this blogspot that the matter was not going to be let lie....the appeal against the judgement issued before Christmas is being forwarded to the Californian Supreme Court and the case will be heard in June of this year...Archbishop Clifford will no doubt regret expressing those words of gratification upon hearing the original verdict when first issued...and the other bishops will yet be cautious as this case could set a trans-national precedence whereby the priest of one diocese who offends elsewhere may yet be liable for the inappropriate actions of aforementioned cleric....
